WHO?

The web site is run and managed by Kathryn Courtney-O'Neill. I have been involved with many ABBA projects and related events for many years and I've been an ABBA fan since they won the Eurovision Song contest so my knowledge on the subject is vast. I've had credits in books, record releases, TV shows, DVD releases, tribute band web sites & programmes. I've worked in the media, from TV through to Radio including entertainment shows, community, fund raising, and health and disability shows, written reviews and articles for theatre, sports and other events and worked with several Abba Tribute Bands too. I also do publicity work, consultancy, events and web site design. I work freelance for myself, 'Kacey-O'Neill'. From music, media, sports, local issues, fund raising and more. I run the ABBA Day & ABBA Weekend and also manage the Abba Tribute Weekend, two successful events that attract many worldwide. I am also a member of the NUJ. (National Union Of Journalists.)

WHAT?

What is the main purpose of the 'Abba Tribute Bands Worldwide' web site? It is a one stop shop for ABBA tribute bands throughout the world that specializes in ...... yes you've guessed it ..... Abba tribute bands. Having done extensive research into the subject with fans, media, business, bands and even friends and family, I found out what people really wanted and problems faced.

'Abba Tribute Bands Worldwide' is a service providing a promotional marketing tool to raise the profile of the tribute bands, giving easier access to find out more about them, the gigs they are doing and information that is updated on a regular basis. Many web sites are not kept up to date, tour dates non existent, some are difficult to navigate whilst others take too long to download and people never return to the web sites. Others have basic similar write ups with just a contact e-mail to book bands. People want more than this. They want to know everything, be involved and see more of a real human side to the tribute groups concerned. And they also want to know what other people thought of the shows that each band performed.

On the band side it was found that there were a number of fly by night tribute bands that appeared and disappeared just as quickly, who never made a living/career being on the road and saw it as earning a quick buck or two along the way. Some venues got stung by this finding the quality of shows poor and audiences voted with their feet. This web site is for the Abba Tribute Bands who make a career/living from performing on stage in front of appreciative audiences and there are plenty of these bands who do this and provide value for money, some even going that extra mile. It is up to those band members and their management if they wish to be part of this web site or miss out on the opportunity of the value of a 'one stop shop'. If a band is missing from the index then they may not have registered with us yet, or don't know about the value of service that this web site can provide. Many tribute bands will have been contacted, but there are some tribute bands who have not, simply because we don't have their details. So please spread the word.

Fans wanted somewhere to chat about Abba tribute bands, venues felt a guide would be useful, whilst other people were interested in enquiring about groups/artistes with someone who had experience of tribute bands, could advertise their events and even help with tickets online.

HOW?

To be part of the "Abba Tribute Bands Worldwide" web site and be seen where ever you may be in the world, bands/groups/artistes have to register with the web site. This can be done on a monthly basis or annual basis. Once registration is completed you are then listed on the Abba Tribute Bands Worldwide index with all the information listed below. All visitors have to do is click on the band/group/artiste named link to be taken to your page. It will contain:

• Biography. 
• Profile Of Band Members.
• Photo gallery.
• News Update. 
• Gig List. (Tour dates are also placed in the 'Abba Tribute Bands' yahoo group calendar to highlight your gigs further.)
• An interview with .....
