Biography.
The idea of the 'Arrival'
began in 1995 and in 1996 a 'new' Abba tribute band took to the road. Their
aim was to proudly recreate Sweden's finest export on stage and try and
emulate the foursome down to the smallest possible detail and that included
jewellery too!
The group members are Mark Pemberton as Benny, taking on his mannerisms
whilst on stage, Sarah Cherry, also know as Cherri, is Agnetha and seems to
spend a lot of time back stage ironing all those stage costumes. Natalie Brigham
is the band's very own Frida practising the dance steps to perfection whilst
Pete Smith takes the role of Bjorn and has made his very own star guitar!
Nothing is too much for this band. From
the hit singles to selected album tracks "Arrival" make it a night to remember.
From private engagements to charity and fund raising events, success follows.
They've performed several seasons in Blackpool to packed theatre houses,
holiday centres, hotels, sporting vents, corporate events, major tours of
the UK and Europe. They find they have little time to rest. And you may have
spotted them recently on the BBC TV Show "Child Of Our Time" performing 'Waterloo'..
Arrival have also added another string to their bow. The 'Arrival Acoustic
Set'. It's ABBA songs back to basics with just piano, guitar and vocals.
This is a perfect showcase for small venues and gatherings and highlights
the ability of four musical talents.
